This project aims to add capacity to the electricity grid in County Londonerry.
On 28 September 2015, we submitted an amendment to the planning consent granted for the project by An Bord Pleanála in 2012.
The amendment accommodates changes to the locations of some structures associated with the project, including wooden pole-sets and steel towers.
These changes are the result of requests from landowners following our successful planning consent in 2012. The majority of landowner requested structure moves are possible, and are included in the planning amendment.
We are delighted to accommodate these requests from landowners in our application for the planning amendment.
Subject to approval being granted by An Bord Pleanála, we anticipate the construction will commence in 2016.
