SONI has completed Part 1 engagement with initial meetings held with key stakeholders such as elected representatives, Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and Derry City and Strabane DIstrict County Officials.
In 2024, SONI will move to Part 2 of the 3-Part Process for Developing the Grid: this will include public consultation for the proposed Coolkeeragh 100kV Substation Extension project.
During this part of the process, we will engage again with key stakeholders, using a range of consultation techniques, to enable them have their say before a planning application is submitted to Derry City and Strabane DIstrict Council.
We always consider how new projects may impact individuals and communities and we work hard to minimise this where possible.
