SONI will only plan for new grid infrastructure projects where we believe it to be absolutely necessary, in line with our 3-Part Grid Development Process.
We are currently at Part 1 of this process. At this stage, we are engaging with key stakeholders and elected representatives.
During this part, we explore which technology will best resolve the specific need. In doing so, we will also learn more about the broad area where we are likely to locate new infrastructure.
Once SONI receive approval from the Utility Regulator, this project will move to Part 2 of our 3-Part Process, where in consultation with key stakeholders and the local community we will identify where the project will be built.
